Trade Compliance
Beam is committed to operating in compliance with applicable United States economic sanctions, export control laws, and trade regulations.
U.S. Sanctions and Export Controls
Beam services may not be used by, for the benefit of, or to provide services to persons, organizations, jurisdictions, or end uses prohibited under applicable U.S. laws and regulations.
These requirements may include regulations administered by:
- U.S. Department of the Treasury — Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)
- U.S. Department of Commerce — Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS)
- Other applicable U.S. and international trade-control authorities
Restricted Parties
Beam services may not be used directly or indirectly by individuals or organizations subject to applicable sanctions or trade restrictions.
Beam may screen customers, organizations, infrastructure providers, network participants, and other parties against applicable government restricted-party and sanctions lists.
Where required, this may include verification of organizational identity, ownership, location, and other information necessary to determine eligibility to use Beam services.
Restricted Jurisdictions
Access to Beam services may be restricted or prohibited from jurisdictions subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions or other applicable trade restrictions.
Restrictions may change as laws, regulations, and government sanctions programs are updated.
Prohibited End Uses
Beam may prohibit the use of its infrastructure for activities or end uses restricted under applicable U.S. export-control or sanctions laws.
This may apply even when the user or organization itself is not located in a restricted jurisdiction.
Restriction of Access
Where required for compliance with applicable law, Beam may limit, suspend, or terminate access to Beam services for an account or organization.
Beam records the reason for any such restriction. Where a restriction applies, requests to Beam services are refused and the affected account is notified.
Questions about a restriction may be directed to hello@b1m.ai.
Participant Responsibility
Users and organizations are responsible for ensuring that their use of Beam complies with laws and regulations applicable to them.
Attempting to circumvent geographic restrictions, sanctions screening, identity verification, or other compliance controls may result in suspension or termination of access to Beam services.
Changes to Trade Restrictions
Sanctions and export-control requirements can change.
Beam may update its restrictions, verification requirements, or access controls when necessary to comply with changes in applicable law or regulatory requirements.
